Angels Place Another Trade Deadline Acquisition on Waivers
USA TODAY Sports

The Angels are not done making shocking moves as they have placed another trade deadline acquisition on the waivers.

After being traded to LA from the Mets right at the trade deadline, Dominic Leone is once again in the market to find a new team as the Halos placed him on waivers on Tuesday.

Leone is the sixth player the Angels have placed on waivers in the past 24 hours and the fourth who was acquired at the trade deadline.

In 10 appearances with the Halos, Leone had his struggles. He gave up seven runs in 12 innings which equates to a 5.25 ERA.

Leone also struggled to keep his pitches in the strike zone as he walked nine batters.

The Angels were the eighth team that Leone has pitched for in his 10-year major league career.

Teams needing bullpen help heading into the postseason could look at Leone as a guy to help carry the load into the final month of the season.

Even though he has been in the league for a while, Leone does not have much postseason experience.

In two career playoff games in 2021, Leone has a 16.20 ERA in 1.2 innings.

With the Giants, he gave up three runs, four hits and two walks in his only playoff games.

Leone will be looking for redemption with whoever he lands with and give a better showing during October.
